Bring some creativity to your fall decor with this ceramic pumpkin making workshop in Portland. Learn the basics of pinched pottery and hand-building, a technique that does not require a wheel - just your two hands!The workshop will begin with a pinched pot demonstration, including how to attach two pieces of clay, ways of sculpting it to form a pumpkin shape, and rolling coils to make the stem. All necessary tools will be provided, and students are encouraged to make multiple pumpkins and experiment with creating different shapes.Ceramic underglazes will be provided for any students who wish to paint their pumpkins. Pumpkins can also be glazed glossy orange.If you're looking for fun fall activities in Portland, this hands-on workshop will bring the charm of autumn to your next creative endeavor.
